About Contractology
Contractology is an independent, free-to-use federal contracting intelligence platform. We aggregate and present public procurement data from multiple government sources to make federal contracting information more accessible, understandable, and useful.
Our Mission
Federal contracting data is public, but it's spread across multiple government systems and difficult to navigate. Contractology brings together data from USASpending.gov, SAM.gov, the Federal Acquisition Regulation, and other government sources into a single, searchable platform with clear, plain-English explanations.
Data Sources
All data on Contractology comes from official U.S. government sources:
- USASpending.gov — Federal contract awards, obligations, and spending data
- SAM.gov — Contractor registration, certifications, and entity data
- eCFR — Federal Acquisition Regulation full text
- Census Bureau — NAICS code definitions and hierarchy
- GSA — Federal agency directory
